Missing Sports? We’ve Got the List of Best Sports Flicks to Fill the Void

Tuesday, March 17, 2020

With the cancellation of multiple conferences and the NCAA basketball tournament, suspensions of the NBA and NHL seasons, postponement of Opening Day for both MLB and minor league baseball, and the Masters golf tournament slated to be played at a later date — fans everywhere are looking for ways to create their own sports magic.

We may be social distancing, but we can still cheer for the home team together online to help fill the void.

It’s time to rewatch some classic sports films and perhaps discover some new favorites. Whatever your sport, there’s a movie to inspire you.

If you’re missing the March buzzer beaters, it’s hard to beat the timeless classic Hoosiers. Hang up your skates and watch Kurt Russell steal the ice in the ever-popular Miracle.  While there’s no crying in baseball, if you’re sad about waiting for  America’s favorite pastime, then check out The Natural, or, if you’re still not over the end of football season, Remember the Titans.

Pop some popcorn, dim the lights and between these streaming services, you can almost be back in the action.
