Black Friday is right around the corner. And while you’re excited to check out all the deals and steals, you’ll likely want an idea of what you’re looking for instead of ambling around and buying all the things.
Ideally, you’ll start poking around and researching the cool holiday gifts that might fit your significant other, parents or even your besties. You have some holiday gift ideas, but you’re still looking for that perfect fit — the one thing that has been on his or her secret wishlist all year long.
Fortunately, we at Kinetic by Windstream are here to help you get to checking off everyone on your list with our holiday gift guide:
1. Instant Pot
It’s probably safe to say that these kitchen appliances are rivaling the popularity of those beautiful KitchenAid stand mixers. Instant Pots have gained a following in part because it combines a ton of your appliances into one! Say goodbye to the kitchen clutter, and say hello to a faster, multi-use Instant Pot!
2. A Dependable Cutting Board
All good homemade foods start with some dicing and slicing, so it’s only fair to get a sturdy cutting board. You can go personalized or with a good butcher block. Or even get one that serves multiple roles, like the Five Two Double-Sided Cutting Board, which includes a slot to hold up your phone (all the better to check those recipes) along with a juice groove.
3. Voice Assistants
Voice assistants are the ultimate helping hand when home chefs are at work. Think: “Alexa, what’s half of ⅔ cup,” or “Google, what’s the next step?” They’re even better paired with any smart home tech, allowing for chefs to preheat an oven or set a timer hands-free!
1. Tile Pro or Mate
These gadgets can help you find anything. Left your cellphone on silent and can’t remember where you stored it? Put a Tile on an object, open the app and hear a ring if the object’s nearby. You can also check its last known location on a map. With Bluetooth tracking, Tiles come in different forms, including a “sport” version.
2. Smart Home Tech
Be connected to your home, even when you’re away. Smart home technology — such as Nest Thermostats, Ring Doorbell and lighting — can help save money in the long run, but may be an investment. If you’re not sure where to start, some brands include starter kits. And remember that these devices are always connected to your Kinetic Wi-Fi, and more connected devices means more network traffic.
3. Portable Batteries/Chargers
Techies likely are always low on battery, whether it’s on their phones, tablets or what have you. Give your favorite techie something they’re likely to use often: portable batteries or chargers!
1. Streaming Service Subscription
Try the big ones — Netflix, HBO, Hulu, etc. — but don’t forget the newer services, such as ESPN+ and YouTube TV. And remember that your gift recipient will need a few tools to do said streaming. Also, know that you’re giving said homebody yet another reason to not go to your outing.
2. A Cozy Blanket
For any binge-watching, of course. Get the comfiest and coziest blanket for any home activity! You could even get it monogrammed.
3. An e-Reader
Amazon recently released its newest Kindle, one of the most popular e-readers, just in time for the holidays. If you aren’t sure whether your gift recipient would prefer an e-reader or a tablet, consult our guide. Top off your e-reader and/or tablet with a nice bathtub caddy tray, allowing for long baths with his or her favorite reads!
1. Digital Picture Frames
Why frame one favorite photo when you can basically have a slideshow of them all? Add and update photos of great memories and important dates onto a digital picture frame, and you’ll have your gift recipient in tears of joy!
2. A Family Heirloom
There’s always something that’s passed on from generation to generation — whether it’s a wedding ring or even cast-iron skillet. Bring some nostalgia to the holidays with a family heirloom.
3. Something DIY
Parents, especially, will appreciate any DIY gifts, knowing that you put some time and effort into it. Log onto your Kinetic Internet and check out some great DIY projects on Pinterest, like homemade ornaments or a cute basket of goodies.
1. Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker
Health enthusiasts likely won’t need a Fitbit to stay motivated, but they will appreciate its activity and sleep tracking. The Alta Fitness Tracker can show you your stats, including calories burned, stationary time and distance. And, those wearing the wristband can get call, text and calendar notifications so they won’t have to rely too heavily on their phones.
2. Sporty Wireless Earbuds or Headphones
Wash away worries of dangling earbuds and tangled wires with some wireless earbuds or headphones, like the Jabra Elite Sport Wireless Headphones or Skullcandy Ink’d. All they’ll have to do is worry about what they’re going to listen to and whatever workout they have at hand.
3. Game Tickets
Any sports enthusiast would absolutely love tickets to see their favorite team in action. The holidays can be a bit tricky for some sports (football, especially) since December mostly spells out the end of the season. If that’s the case, put in a placeholder holiday gift and wait until the league releases next season’s schedule. Some sports fans might also have a bucket list, say, seeing a game at all NFL stadiums nationwide. You can help them cross some off their list!
